Adam has nearly 20 years of experience in entrepreneurship and innovation in the private sector and in the U.S. Government. As the child of a primary care physician and a speech pathologist, Adam’s parents instilled in him the importance of caring, family, and community, and he saw how magic the time is between providers and their patients and the change that this can make in someone’s life.

Adam founded three healthcare companies including Landmark Health, a company delivering around-the-clock medical care to chronically ill patients. From there, Adam took on major roles in the U.S. Government, including Director of the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI), where he worked on value-based care for the United States. Adam was also a founding member of Operation Warp Speed, unanimously confirmed by the Senate as the first CEO of the International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), and a negotiator in the historic Abraham Accords.

After his government tenure, Adam started Rubicon because he wanted to build healthcare companies to transform how care is delivered in America, as he saw the power of bringing the private and public sector together to solve our nation’s greatest healthcare challenges.

Adam lives in Nashville with his wife, Shira, and their four children.

Alvin’s career in healthcare began at Gordon Dyal & Co, where he primarily advised large-cap pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Wanting to get closer to the services side of the healthcare ecosystem, Alvin joined Harbour Point Capital, a healthcare services-focused private equity firm.

Alvin joined Rubicon because he saw a unique opportunity to get closest to the patient care journey and both build and partner with healthcare companies to drive change.

Alvin grew up in Southport, Connecticut and graduated with honors from Dartmouth College. In his spare time, Alvin enjoys live music, playing any and all racquet sports, and surfing (where possible).

Prior to joining Rubicon, Asif worked at Newlight Partners and its predecessor, the Strategic Investments Group of Soros Fund Management. During his time at Newlight and Soros, he focused on private investments across sectors including healthcare, renewable energy, telecom infrastructure, and financial services. He began his career in investment banking at JP Morgan. Asif chose to work in the field of healthcare and at Rubicon because he believes in the opportunity to build businesses that, in partnership with providers, can have transformational positive impact at scale for communities.

Asif grew up in Toronto, Canada, and graduated from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.

Prior to joining Rubicon in 2025, Bharath worked at Deerfield and focused on private investments in healthcare services across various stages. Prior to Deerfield, Bharath spent time in middle market private equity at JH Whitney Capital Partners and HIG Capital. He began his career in M&A investment banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

Bharath grew up in Minnesota and Knoxville, Tennessee, and holds a BA in Economics and Political Science from Vanderbilt University and an MBA in Health Care Management from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

With a mom who worked as both a physical therapist at a long-term care facility and full-time caregiver to his grandma, Brandon has been in and around the senior care space his entire life. Brandon made it his mission to not just volunteer at these facilities, but also build a career helping keep seniors in the comfort of their own home, out of institutional settings.

Brandon began this journey while working in private equity, where he was most interested in investments that provide long term care support such as personal care services. He then went to Wharton’s Health Care Management program, during which time he advised numerous startups in the senior care space, including a PACE program and a business that staff caregivers for personal care services agencies. Admiring Rubicon’s founder, Adam Boehler, Brandon jumped on the opportunity to work with him at Rubicon.

Clarisse’s passion for life sciences began early and has been a consistent thread throughout her career. She joined Rubicon driven by a strong belief in the power of partnering with companies and operators to advance innovation in R&D and healthcare service delivery.

Before joining Rubicon, Clarisse was with Martis Capital, where she focused on private investments in the healthcare sector. Prior to Martis, Clarisse gained experience in investment banking at Perella Weinberg Partners and began her career at Temasek, working on strategic investments across a range of sectors. She holds a BBA from the National University of Singapore and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

David is one of Rubicon’s founding team members, and he thrives on finding elegant solutions to complex problems. A seasoned attorney in both the public and private sectors, David spent over ten years in positions in federal and state government, including on the U.S. Senate Judiciary committee. After working with Adam Boehler as the Counsel at the Development Finance Corporation (DFC), David helped found Rubicon because of his desire to create enduring value and solving for gaps in our healthcare system.

A native of South Carolina, David and his wife, Dotti, and their four children, Michael, Gabriel, Margaret Claire, and Annabelle Rose live in Nashville, TN.

Ibrahim’s passion for healthcare grew significantly after witnessing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, which highlighted the importance of a healthy society and inefficiencies within the system. Growing up in Long Island, New York, he became driven to help solve these challenges and improve how care is delivered. Ibrahim joined Rubicon to contribute to building healthcare companies that can create meaningful change. Prior to Rubicon, Ibrahim worked at Edgemont Partners, a healthcare-focused investment bank. Ibrahim holds a BS in finance from NYU Stern. In his free time, Ibrahim enjoys horseback riding, trying new foods, and watching his siblings’ high school sports games.

Iyassu developed an early interest in medicine and the complex challenges of public health from his experiences growing up in Ethiopia, where his mother, an optometrist, managed her own practice for over 10 years. Iyassu joined Rubicon to play a part in building new healthcare companies that make a meaningful impact in individual’s lives.

Prior to Rubicon, Iyassu focused on private equity investments in the healthcare sector at the Carlyle Group. He holds a BA in Neuroscience from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Harvard Business School. In his free time, Iyassu enjoys running, watching the Premier League, and traveling to new places.

Julian started his career in LLR Partners’ healthcare group, where he evaluated, invested in, and covered growth-stage healthcare services and technology companies across a number of verticals, including behavioral health, medical supply chain, post-acute care, outsourced pharmaceutical services, primary care, and specialty pharmacy.

Finding the unique opportunities within healthcare attractive and having grown up around a family of entrepreneurs, Julian wanted to get closer to the patient and care journey and build and partner with businesses that positively transform the healthcare system. In addition, Julian loves that Rubicon provides him capabilities to explore innovative healthcare models that improve quality of care and align incentives.

Kevin joined Rubicon to be part of an entrepreneurial team building transformational healthcare companies solving complex, real-world challenges.

Kevin began his career in healthcare investment banking at Piper Sandler, advising medical technology companies. He subsequently spent four years at Rockbridge Growth Equity, where he focused on investing in founder-led, technology-enabled services businesses.

Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Kevin graduated summa cum laude from the Mike Ilitch School of Business at Wayne State University. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors, especially fishing and golfing.

Matt joined Rubicon Founders in 2021 to help build and grow companies dedicated to prioritizing patients, accelerating access to cutting-edge treatments, and revolutionizing healthcare experiences to deliver the care and respect every patient deserves. As a co-founder of multiple Rubicon NewCos, he excels in building and scaling transformational companies, with a focus on strategy and business development.

Prior to joining Rubicon, Matt spent over a decade investing in healthcare companies. Most recently, he was at Blue Pool Capital, a Hong Kong-based investment firm, where he concentrated on both private and public healthcare companies. His prior roles include positions at JANA Partners, an activist hedge fund, and The Carlyle Group within its U.S. Buyout fund. Matt began his career in healthcare investment banking at Lazard.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Operations Research and Engineering from Cornell University and resides in Nashville with his wife and two children.

Michelle is a Nashville native and developed a passion for healthcare at a young age after witnessing a family member undergo cancer treatment. Committed to improving patient outcomes and overall healthcare costs, she has focused her education and career on the intersection of the public and private healthcare sectors.

Michelle began her career with UnitedHealth Group’s Corporate Development team, gaining insights into the business side of the industry. After her time in M&A, she sought to deepen her understanding of the operational aspects of value-based healthcare and joined Evergreen Nephrology during its early stages on its operations and strategy teams. Michelle is excited to be part of Rubicon’s investment team to continue learning about and contributing to innovative methods that enhance healthcare delivery and outcomes.

Michelle received her B.A. in Public Policy from the University of Chicago.

Sam brings a decade of private equity experience across industries to Rubicon. She joined the team in 2022 to apply that investing experience to backing transformational healthcare businesses.

Previously, Sam was on the private equity team at Ares Management, where she was responsible for sourcing, executing, and managing private equity investments across industries. Prior to joining Ares, she was a member of the Private Equity group at H.I.G. Capital and began her career in management consulting with The Parthenon Group (now EY-Parthenon).

Sam grew up in Los Angeles and is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard Business School. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband Michael, son Asher, and their dog Bruno.

Shayan was born into a family of doctors and developed a passion for improving healthcare after his experience with the medical system in Pakistan. He immigrated to United States in 2017 for his education and was immediately gripped by the complexities in the U.S. medical system and its management. To be able to learn further, he began his career in healthcare investment banking at J.P. Morgan, focusing on medical payor and provider services. At J.P. Morgan, he learned about complex financial instruments and evaluated investments across the healthcare sector. Shayan joined Rubicon to continue improving access and quality to healthcare.

Prior to his professional career, Shayan graduated from Columbia University with a bachelor’s degree in financial economics and a concentration in computer science. He also launched a women’s health and self-defense business in Pakistan during his senior year and grew the business to 2000+ customers.
